Buttercats are a disco-soul band from Meanjin who make music for the people.

They are a melty, glistening dewdrop of euphoria who create an atmosphere of electricity and sexiness through their cruisy grooves, smooth vocals and cosmically gorgeous fashion. Their growing reputation as a live band saw them take the stages at Yonder Festival and accompany British soul sensation, Nilüfer Yanya, in 2019. After collaborating with iconic songstress Ngaiire in 2020, 2021 saw them support her on the Brisbane leg of her Australian tour, as well as a headline spot at Hidden Lanes Festival.  Buttercats are thrilled to have released their EP ‘milk’ in May, 2022 which was accompanied by an East Coast tour of the EP in June.
